If you’ve never been to North Uist, let me tell you a secret. It’s a land of sky and sea and stories that ride the wind like birds. It’s where the machair blooms in summer, where seals sing lullabies at dusk … and where fairies still cause just a tiny bit of mischief. Now, not all fairies are the same. Some are quiet. Some are helpful. And then there’s Tweederick. Tweederick is a fairy about the size of a well-fed turnip. He has rusty red hair that sticks out in all directions, a tartan scarf that’s always caught in the breeze, and absolutely no wings at all. You see, Tweederick prefers getting into things. Things like trouble. And socks. And occasionally... peat stacks. This is the story of one particular day when Tweederick woke up with a twinkle in his eye and declared he was going to be useful. (Which, if you know Tweederick, is exactly when the trouble begins...)The story is both in English and Scottish Gaelic, making it fun for everyone.
