Our Intermediate Gaelic Refresher Course has components of our Summer School and is designed for learners who already have a solid foundation in Gaelic but want to sharpen their skills and gain more fluency. If you’ve completed Ùlpan units, studied consistently in classes, or built up conversational ability but now feel your Gaelic has plateaued, this course will help you move forward. Through focused speaking and conversation practice, listening tasks, grammar strengthening, and pronunciation fine-tuning, you’ll refresh what you know and push your language use into more natural, confident expression. It’s an energising space to reconnect with your Gaelic, stretch your abilities, and prepare for more advanced, free-flowing interaction.

Entry Requirements
This course is ideal for learners who:

Have completed approximately Units 1 – 96 of Ùlpan or equivalent intermediate level courses.

Can understand and respond to questions in Gaelic
-
Are familiar with the verb to be (past/present/future), can, like, prefer, infinitive formation & word inversion, regular and irregular verbs in past/future tense, imperative, question forms, and common vocabulary.

Feel they used to know more Gaelic but need help reactivating it with guidance and structure.

Are comfortable participating in a spoken-focused environment.
Not suitable for beginner/post-beginner level learners. It is an intermediate refresher course for those with prior intermediate learning.
